Born and raised in northwestern Ontario, Grant has over 40 years of experience living and traveling in the Canadian outdoors. His skills include general "bushcraft", back-country navigation, multi-day trip planning, and risk management.
Grant is also a certified Wilderness First Responder* and has a wide range of knowledge about the history, natural history, and traditions of northern Ontario's boreal region.

We are based near Geraldton (Greenstone), Ontario, a small community on the edge of the arctic watershed, close to 300 km (186 miles) northeast of Thunder Bay. ​​ Our deep connection to this region and to the land enables us to offer wilderness experiences that are authentic and truly memorable.
